i hope there will be more annivesaries for you in the forum. We like yout posts and knowledge, even if you´re watching the shiny discs. I´m an oldtimer myself and believe that i will prefer the reel thing, as long as I´ll be able to load a projector. So please stay with us and have a great next year on the forum

Yes we have had a lot of ups and downs the past year or so and I have surfed through them.
However there are certain reasons that may not see me through another couple of days never mind another year as a member.
I have been on ADMIN for a long time now but that is not one of the reasons.
If it were I would merely step down and let someone else take my place.
So if I do go I wont remain as a member and there will be no coming back after that.

I can think of happier things to celebrate David, but well done any how, whatever the outcome. You have earned my respect for telling it how is 100%.

I looked and while having a senior moment I thought I joined on 8/3 but of course everything is ass about face so this indeed is a great day.

I get the feeling by the tone of your posts you are having thoughts about the future,well again you are not alone.Today while out cycling I did think to myself again that this hobby for my part is a bit over the top,so I have decided not to buy any more machines / equipment and having counted up 30 projectors of all makes and gauges that I can see I shall now only try and get a few films I want to watch.When a machine breaks or the like its gone I've decided,and if I ever get to watch all the films they too will go if not up to scratch or to my likening any more.
It's going to take some time to say the least but as someone said " the times they are a changing"....
So I hope you remain for a long time yet as I hope to do but " things ain't what they used to be" .

Telling what like what is???

As I understand it, we all like films and film projectors. We come on these places to talk about them. We help each other out if we need something, we give advice if any of us can help someone with an issue in their hour of need.

To me, that's all film forums are about, anything else, well It just goes over my head quite frankly!

Perhaps this is me being a simpleton, but whatever the reason, I'm glad I'm oblivious to all the other goings on.

Life's too short imho, and this hobby is best shared I find! 😊😊
