My third outdoor showing

#1 by Michael Lattavo , Thu Jul 07, 2016 3:28 pm

Once our guests left, my wife and I decided to do another outdoor show before putting all the equipment back into the basement. This time, I brought out the Super 8 to watch a digest of Fame while waiting for it to get dark enough to screen Quicksilver - not a great movie, but chock full of stars!

Great stuff Michael!

An excellent post among an otherwise dismal day here for our forum very sadly.

Really like the screening shed/barn! As you say, not my kind of film either but great fun either way.

Thanks! For the main event I use a large screen, but couldn't wait for it to get dark - as I was sitting by the shed, I noticed how dark in there it was and thought....."I wonder how it would look in there?"

Of course (and I'm sure it will drive my wife nuts), my new project will be to clean out the shed and tarp up a proper little screen in there for my "pre-show" stuff! I figure, it doesn't get dark here until 9:30, why not start the fun earlier!

That looks awesome Michael and it sounds like everyone had a great time. I rather liked "Fame" and the digest for it is quite good from what I've read in the past.

That looks great! We have long hours of daylight in the summer time in Norway. Would be hard to get this working. But it looks cool!
