My second outdoor showing

#1 by Michael Lattavo , Thu Jul 07, 2016 3:25 pm

Have a family spend the July 4th weekend at our house ever year, and last year started making an outdoor viewing part of the festivities. I loved how the projectors looked under the grill lights.....

This year was Back to the Future, which was a hit with young and old alike! I just wish my camera took better pics!

Brilliant ... I saw this I think it was last year on an outdoor screening in Oslo. Back to the Future is never wrong

Ace crowdpleasing material

I hope to afford something equally crowdpleasing soon too so I can show friends and hopefully give them the cine bug. At the minute all I have is a few shorts, a damaged black and white feature (but a great one) and some dull educational films which might well turn someone off moving images at all they're that dull ("modern trawling...")

That is exactly how it was for us all once ...and we still loved it!
Hence the reason why all of our ceilings are bulging now!! Ha ha.

Keep up the interest and you will find all your heart could desire over time.

Hi Tyler,

Don't get discouraged with shorts - after the movie, I showed a bunch of shorts, old cartoons, black and white songs, etc - and to my suprise, the audience was still captivated! They didn't move from their seats until I turned off the projectors and started packing everything up.

Since you're so new to this hobby, if you want, pm me your address and what genre you might like and I'll dig through some stuff I'm currently getting rid of for basically nothing on Ebay and send you something gratis (specify if you want 8mm, super 8, or 16mm, or a combo).

Hey - now that I think about it, if you don't mind vinegar, I could send you some pretty cool stuff (Elvis, etc) - just be sure to store it at least 20 feet from your regular collection!

Tyler Hatwell sais Thank You!

What I have shown the most are cartoons. Even adults like cool cartoons, and the price is affordable.
