Yes, she WAS the first live action Lois Lane because she played the role in the Kirk Alyn serials at Columbia in the late 1940's.

Sad news there. The 1950s TV series of The Adventures Of Superman is still one of my favourites.
I guess Noel is now reunited in TV heaven with George Reeves who played Superman / Clark Kent.
