Robin Hardy /Olivia de Havilland

The director of the 1973 film "the wicker man" passed away on Friday.
In my opinion this film is one of the best ever made.great cast and great acting from Messrs Woodward, lee, elkland, and Pitt.A film with as much mystery surrounding it long after it was made.I would love a copy on 16mm,one day I'm sure.

On a lighter note I see Olivia De Havilland, turned one hundred years old this week gone. The last remaining Star of the Hollywood age and star of Gone With The Wind.Whatever you may think of gwtw they don't make them like that anymore.

That is very sad news Gwyn, I too am a fan of the film, I'd love to copy at least the trailer on super 8, but if the stock is the same poor
acetate base as used by the Germans, I will have to wait until there is a good stock that can be striped, especially at the over the top
price that raw stock commands now.
Well done Olivia De Havilland, Hollywood Royalty in fact.

Hugh, yes I too would love a trailer,I don't think I ever seen one for sale,I did see a full 16 mm feature a while back but faded.
