That list is longer than many entire collections of all films Vidar!

But I miss many still :-) A complete L&H would be nice (I do not need the 200' of 400', want the completest films available). I have some 50' and 200' that I think I can get rid of, since I have the longer versions and wouldn't consider putting on the shorter one. But, I grab the shorter ones if I don't have the full film, just for now :-)

I can think of a few in Super 8 that are missing from this list:

Do Detectives Think. 400ft silent.
Tour of England 1932. Silent.
This is Your Life (1954) 600ft .
Nothing but Trouble 4x400ft.
Nothing but Trouble/ Big Guns. Trailer reel from Canterbury Films.
Bela Lugosi/ Oliver Hardy interview. Collectors Club.

I have the trailer to Flying Deuces in 16mm.

Mats, you have a nice collection too! So tell me you L&H fans, what are your TOP 10 favorite titles? It will help me to choose the best ones in the future. Thank you in advance, and thank you Vidar and Mats for taking the time to compile your lists!

BTW, here's the start to my collection (I know, it's a laughably small number):
Big Business (400', S8, silent)
Busy Bodies (200', S8, silent)
Hog Wild (400', R8, sound) unfortunately, I can only SEE this one due to my reg. 8 machines all being silent
Laughing Gravy (400', S8, sound)
Live Ghost (400', S8, sound)
Music Box, The (400', S8, sound)

Stop watching Hog Wild. Silent machines should not be fed sound films. Stripe can get damaged

I will list my top tomorrow

Thanks Vidar, for warning me about that. Never fear though, I've not even had a chance to watch it, so I will refrain from doing that. :-)

That´s a good point Vidar. There can be magnetic parts in a silent projector that can harm the soundtrack. Beware!

Try to get a good old Eumig projector ( Mark S, Mark S 709 ) for regular 8 prints. I have several, but shipping to you would cost a fortune

Thank you Mats. It's actually the first standard 8 sound print that I've ever gotten ahold of. It came in a lot of four L&H titles that were bought for a really good price (the other three being compatible with my equipment and in better shape). This one has a bit of sprocket damage at the beginning and the box is taped up to hold it together. I figured if I got at least 1 or 2 good condition titles out of the deal, my money was well spent. Another thing, the box for "Hog Wild" has 'will not load' written on the box, which makes me wonder if someone tried to feed this into a super 8 machine.

I´m shure you are right about that someone have tried to load it in a Super 8 projector. Is the damage just on the leader?

Mats,
All of the films start pretty close to the opening titles and I can tell that they were trimmed with a unit attached to the projector being used. It looks like maybe 3 or 4 broken sprocket holes spaced randomly apart at the start. The other films look fine as far as I can tell.

Amazing collection Vidar, I notice you list Hog Wild in a 800' version, I did not realise there was a longer version I thought it was a 2 reel film (400')
I was also wondering how may of them are Blackhawk prints, I prefer those myself.

Timothy, one of my favourites has always been 'Laughing Gravy', this should be longer than 400ft, but if you've watched it on TV, the remaining part isn't so interesting, at least not to me. 'Another Fine Mess' is another good one, with Oliver Hardy pretending to be Colonel Buckshot.

In general I like the Blackhawk prints but what bugs me is the lack of original Title and Credits
sequences. I would be happier if they had at least used the later Film Classics logo.
Hey that's just me though....hahahahaha !

That's the one thing I don't like about Blackhawk ,David, they could have added the Blackhawk logo in addition to the original titles, instead of. Walton used the Film classics title, but cut them short so that the music appears over the Walton logo, same with the ending.

People often mention Blackhawk, when selling, as they were noted for their quality, but I would never buy a 16mm Blackhawk feature, when you can possibly buy a TV print complete with original titles.
