Happy Easter to everyone! I hope that you all are surrounded by friends and loved ones on that day. May we also remember the true meaning behind the day. As far as film goes, I suppose that I could watch my digest of "Easter Parade" ;-)

Happy Easter everyone. Had a great day today visiting the lovely serene village of Skipton in Yorkshire. Weather was kind also which is always a bonus.

Saw one of Harry Garlick's shops still there on the high st, so not entirely without connection to our cine world here.
Harry himself was a keen enthusiast in the Movie Maker era and featured often there in those 70's editions when Super 8 was king in the home entertainment world.

Glad you had a nice day Andrew, Skipton is a nice place, my favourite being Knaresborough. On Harry Garlick, I still use his amp and speaker combo, bought in '77, it is still here, a very well made pair of units, showing their age, a bit of wear, but a statement to the man and his skill.

Testament indeed Hugh!

Harry was fine pioneer of early methods of sound synchronizing on 8mm I believe, he came up with some ingenious methods and ideas from what I've read.

He surely did Andrew, as did Ivan Watson's son, he had a business that specialised too, sad all this know how has gone.

It is indeed Hugh, it's up to us lot now, or else it's all gone forever very sadly

Ironically, we have a much easier opportunity to do good things in this dept given our modern day technology and equipment, not to mention, superior source material for master soundtracks.

I am sure Harry & Co would have given their right arm to have had the gear we now have at our fingertips to do this kind of work with.

Well done Clyde mate, I'll bet you're a Happy Bunny now, I got rid of that millstone years back, along with credit cards etc, best paid
off and left alone. As for credit ratings, I laugh my dog off at those adverts, who needs 'em, again, well done, welcome to the land of the free.

Clyde Miles sais Thank You!
