Not keen at all on all this "Coca Cola invented Happy Holiday" nonsense. Its Christmas for Gods sake... The Birth of Christ is what is supposed to be being celebrated. It really annoys the crap out of me just how PC our world has had to become just to attempt to please everyone!

That is never going to happen as we all know, so let us all celebrate CHRISTMAS for what it was intended in the first place, in the time honoured tradition of our European values.

Happy Christmas everyone, no holidays for me as I am forced to work NYE again, however Christmas Day I'm off with my family celebrating and I won't be thinking anything whatsoever to do with holidays!!

Holidays are mid July, Teneriffe or Crete in the Sun with my family enjoying the Sun, Sea and Sangria and having a ball come evening time!
That is what holidays are in my book!!

Never let OUR OWN traditions be dissolved or even diluted by one millilitre in all of this modern day way of life!!!!

Totally agree there Andrew, I try to keep a traditional Christmas..... as the following pics show, let
it be a Christmas card from me to all the members whose emails I don't have, A very Merry Christmas
to ALL our members, even the "unknowns" who I hope will make themselves known, and of course
a Happy New Year, look after yourselves. My homemade crib is the first decoration in the hall to be put up, after all "He" is the guy its all about.

I could have a debate about all this " Christmas Con "on here but I wont.
So from me to you all enjoy the 25th of December day off whatever you are doing or believe in.

I'll second that too, All the Best to you and your Family David, I agree on the commercialism of the season, but remember
when we were kids, Christmas morning was a long time coming, my favourite time when I think back was the School carol service
in the local Church, I'm not religious, but it was an afternoon away from lessons! The folly of youth.

I too loved all the carols at junior school and Sunday School when I was a youngster.
The whole meaning and spirit of Christmas , does seem now to have been very diluted in my circles given our multi cultural pc world we now live in.

Very true Andrew, the country we grew up in is changing fast, but not for the better, I'm afraid our zeal to help others
not of our beliefs will bite us in the collective arse, we are an open door to far too many. They hate us, yet want to be here.

I accept whoever we allow to take home on our shores may have a different religion and culture and behaviours than our own, however I can never accept that we should suppress our our own traditions, celebrations or beliefs to please our newly arrived over sensitive neighbours, in the name of tact and diplomacy .
To me, that is when the tail begins to wag the dog!
