We need to hold a ballot here for the majority to decide whether or not we should allow new members to join us all here using nick names or an alias of some kind.

I would like to hear back from as many members as possible here of your opinions surrounding this matter.

A NO vote denotes you prefer everyone who logs in here uses only their ACTUAL REAL NAME.

I would like to let this run now through the Christmas period and with Vidar's consent, make any changes necessary at the beginning of the new year.
In the meantime we will continue using existing policy which means everyone should be using their actual real name when logging in here.

Hi Lads.it goes without saying how I feel on this, a definite NO, no aliases, real names to real people, can't understand why it
is a problem on such a friendly forum.

Just reading through the responses, there comes a time to just take hold, pardon the language being used, "HEY YOU BUGGERS

Yes I voted by PM straight away to Vidar, but I'll let everyone know my vote was a NO, I believe you should know who you are actually talking to, otherwise what's the point, we all come onto the forum for one reason, and that's the love of home cinema, so stop hiding in plain sight, to me it's just silly having these 'handles'.

Even though i already send my vote to Andrew.
I honestly dont mind nicknames as long as they are the normal way off addressing each other.
i don't mind to talk to an alias but only if im talking from an alias, if aliases are the way to go you can be sure there will be a lot of people that (as hugh pointed out) will be resigning with an alias.
