Well it would seem by the absence of my little mate Vidar, that no records were taken of the event, I myself could not give a toss. the
magic has gone for me, but for others, not a piccy, well it sounds a resounding success,
/
There are a few posted on the other forum Hugh, but so far, nothing to rival the sheer amount and detail that Vidar put into this last year for the benefit of all.
Hopefully more will follow there soon and with any luck one or two may just make it here, fingers crossed.
From the sounds of things, it was a very successful event and better attended than any since the demise of Derann apparently.
I very much miss our roving reporter but is has not been available, the event has suffered. No doubt members will submit their
recordings.
Vidar was the roving reporter of this event, but his absence is marked, no picture of worth so far, are there any, even from
the organiser?
At least six pics on the 8mm forum. No doubt a plethora of films on ebay.
To be fair Hugh, you cannot really be hosting an event as well as being chief photographer. That's the punters job, I'd say.
You're quite correct though, Vidar was most noticeable by his absence at this year's event. He did a superb job for everyone far and wide at last year's event.
I'm not having a go at the organiser Andrew, but all this stuff for taking pictures, phones, tablets etc, and nothing so far, you
can't tell me it was such a grab it while you can event that not a photo was taken, rubbish. Where are the shots, not from Mr Guest,
but the collectors.
Here are som Pictures from Blackpool. The photografer is Jan Andresen, a fellow collector and friend, from the Norwegian Film collectors Club.
