Be brave and positive Jonathan. I have experienced and witnessed with my own eyes, living proof these past twelve months, that now, these surgeons work minor miracles!!

You'll be fine my friend. Just stay positive throughout. We are all truly and sincerely rooting for you and cannot wait to see you back on here fit and well again!!

I know I throw a light hearted note on these things, but I do wish well, my attitude is always chuck
humour at serious, it makes folk laugh while they stick a needle in.

Thanks for the kind words chaps. Actually, my heart surgery is on December 7th, so I should be able to fit in a few Christmas films before then.
I'm having valve repair then hopefully my heart will be running as smoothly as my GS1200.

Well Jon, we'll wish you the same then, I hope everything is as we wish, you will be giving us a hard time, I know that will be inevitable.
The harder the better, it might wake some of these buggers up!!! Just you get well soon Jon.

Best wishes for your upcoming op. Don't think anyone holds it against you coming from Wales. Boyo. They will take care of you in hospital. When you get home take it easy, and get someone to show you films.

I still love the smell of film in the morning

Well Hugh, my parents are English, was born and brought up in Wales, have a New Zealand passport but live in Australia, my ancestors are Cornish and nobody can quite pinpoint my accent. So, I am of fairly mixed heritage!

WOW. A world traveller. Is it a nice climate where you are? Getting cold here, only good thing you can put more clothes on to keep warm. But when its hot you can only go so far before they arrest you.

Hi David. The Summer (which is just starting) is fairly hot and gets up to 38 here on Gold Coast (but usually early 30s). It's often sunny and with occasional storms which come and go quickly.
Winter is my favourite season. Mostly sunny. Reaching early 20s in the day and rarely ever dipping below 12 at night. None of it great for film collecting unfortunately, especially the humidity in Summer.

Hi Jon, it must seem very odd to you at this time of year to be in this lovely sunshine, expecting a guy in polar gear on a snow sledge.
would your cops arrest him, and on what charge?

The shopping malls are so cold, they are teaming with Santas! It is crazy and you never get used to the Southern Hemisphere having the wrong climate for Xmas.
At a local Warner Brothers theme park, they do White Christmas nights. Everyone watches the parade, fake snow falls all over you. Everyone is in shorts. Fun but crazy!

Just been in touch with our friend, good news, he's had his op, valve surgery, it went well, thank the Lord, the man is in pain, as would be expected after such serious operations, he still has his sense of humour, he says he feels like an old man walking the wards, I'm bloody
glad he's still here, a great member on any forum, the one and only Jon T. Get well soon 'ol lad.

I must say, Vidar is the best, but worry on his eyesight with these very bright screens, I might seem like a Mother Hen Vidar,
but have your best interests at heart.
