Hi All,
Noticed on Facebook a subject Time Projectionists Were Back
With some films being released on 70 mm and 35 mm film stock and not "Digima"

Can't see it happening in great numbers anyone returning to the job,
As once burned, twice shy as the saying goes.

Regards
Tony

I agree Tony, whether retired or not, get them back into harness, just when they thought it safe to go into retirement, heh heh.

Where's that David Hardy, we should break it to him gently though Tony..........like hell, "David, you're on in ten minutes", just like
the curtain call in the Muppets.

Hugh and Tony ... I am here and I am not going back unless its on "my terms" insofar as wages and
working conditions go.
I do miss "the good old days " though.
Sitting in the pub getting drunk during the shows when we should be in the Projection Box.
Sneaking off with the "usherette" to a secluded dark area of the Cinema for a bit of "you know what" during the shows.
Falling asleep in the Projection Box and missing the " Reel Change-overs".
Hahahahahahahahahahaha !!!!!!!!!!! HAPPY DAYS !!!!

Joking aside though I am getting rather bored and fed up hearing these folk ranting on about how they should
bring back FILM and Projectionists.
I can remember a time when most folk never came to the Cinemas in the " good old film days".
As a result a lot of sites had to close due to poor attendances and a lot of people found themselves out
of a job. So where were the FILM FLAG FLYERS then I ask ?
It is all to easy to look at the past through " rose coloured film gels " and romanticise it.
Sadly the reality was very very different.
As for me ... I DONT GIVE A DAM if film never returns to the motion picture houses.
