I would like 'Crossed Swords' with Errol Flynn. I missed one because I had just begun buying 16mm and chose to buy another film in better condition; then when I enquired, it had been sold. Would also like any of the Aldwych farces with Tom Walls.

Silence Of The Lambs Derann Full Feature on Super 8mm in very good condition minimum.
Plenty of others also including a spare Robocop but first and foremost the one above.

A spare Robocop? Meaning you got one and need one more? Excellent film and also one I could have paid some to have on other than unmentionables

yes i have one already Vidar but the first 400ft isn't to the standard of the rest of the film due to poor striping originally by Derann.
I'd buy a complete film again on this title just to have spare reels of it.

I still have THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN Feature on the top of my Super 8mm want list.
I would probably settle for a good 16mm print though.

David, why would you prefer a Super 8 print over 16mm?

I think they would be "City of the Dead" B/W STD 8MM, "Monster of Piedras Blancas" either gauge and "Slaughter of the Vampires",
either gauge. The latter one I've had, "Piedras Blancas" twice before.

I think I have a 200' digest in B&W silent of Slaughter of the Vampires. Worst digest I've seen :-) Nothing happens, title should mean some vampires being slaughterd, right? Only seen it once though, hope the film is better

Hi Vidar, there are about three different 200's of this title, "Vampires Curse" is another episode, Mountain released them, they did the same with "Demon Doctor" & "Day of the Triffids", all little clips out of the features, there are some 400's too. "The feature of "Slaughter"
is a tad slow, but has a nice atmosphere to it, I doubt modern audiences would entertain it today.

Tom,

I've got a friend who spent £500 on a Close Encounters feature before Derann closed down, I wonder how much one would be now, as there was only ever about 22 to 26 prints struck (dependening on who you asked)

Hello Barry

The last time close encounters came up for sale on the other forum, it sold for £900.00, he also had grease the derann feature, it went to a German collector I think,
it was on the forum for about 10 mins . Sadly I know of one collector who has both of my wants, but will probably never sell them, he was looking for equivalent 16mm
versions, in lpp or IB tech, so there you go.

Hello Paul

The Derann feature release of Grease was a stunning print and came from an excellent 35mm print.

Alien is in scope, it was Aliens that was flat.

Close Encounters only had about 12 prints in this country as at least 10 prints were sold abroard (that's what Derek Simmonds told me!).

Barry, i reckon on a forum it would go for a grand easily, if it went onto the dreaded ebay i would not like to guess at what it could get.
Other titles i would like to get are the feature of Platoon & Alien. (as mentioned)

I have a 16mm scope print of Soldier Blue, the opening being very poor, but half decent after the first 5 minutes (the title song is more or less messed up)

Great film

I remember seeing Soldier Blue when I was under age for what was then an X cert I must have been about 13, it was a double bill with The Virgin Soldiers. Soldier Blue was very graphic in the slow motion violence, since it's first release I think some parts have been cut, the TV print certainly has. You are very lucky to have that print Vidar, and if the colour is good it must look stunning, I would have loved to chew that rope. I only have a region 1 version.
