Keep it FILM based only.

#1 by David Hardy ( deleted ) , Wed Aug 12, 2015 10:07 am

The posts here have been great and thanks to all who have taken the time to do so. Great response so far.
However I feel I must remind members to kindly keep the posts and shares strictly FILM ONLY. There has been some "grey area"
postings already coming through. So please do not post anything that has a strong heavy bias towards VIDEO or DIGITAL
formats. Cinema based film items such as magazines are okay but do not post publications that lean towards Tapes or Shiny Silver discs.
Cheers
Dave Hardy

Davy,
Saw your comment about Movie Collector and promptly removed them,
As you said not much about Super 8 in each issue 3 pages if we were lucky.

Regards
Tony

Thanks Tony. I am glad you agree that this magazine for as good as it was in its short print run was heavily tape and laserdisc biased.

That was the reason why this Forum was set up; to talk about real FILM only; we both noticed that other forums were talking about collecting movies, not film; they have deviated from their original purpose.

Yet, it's us that is over reacting (Maybe I did, but my love for film makes it impossible to not care about the digital comments)

Look at it this way, how many digital forums or magazines cater to film, none, so why should a film forum cater to digital.

Yes, that's why it's so disheartening to read this, written by film lovers (they claim they are, I still call them movie lovers at best). Nothing beats the magic of a reel projector running reel film.

Let´s keep this forum a pure film forum. There are plenty of forums for movie/video fans and collectors.
