Haven't bought too much recently. I got the Aviator trailer which is in nice condition although there is very light vertical movement. That's on the print and not a projector issue, i'm sure.
I also got the fast moving AFI 100 best films short (sponsored by a well known fizzy drinks conglomerate). I've spliced this on front of the trailer.

Andrew, I bought them from Tony Milman on the 8mm forum. They are good quality. He did have 2 of them but I see they are sold now.

Received two nice 200's from Bert at S/8Warehouse, the "War of the Colossal Beast", a guilty pleasure of retracing early releases
and "Dinosaurus" in sound, granted German sound, but better than silent, a rare little item non-the-less. as always, great service from
this little company.

Just got Ice station zebra, an epsiode of Bonanza and Goofy - Tiger trouble from Super8warehouse. Have to wait two weeks before I can watch it though (my projector is at the cabin).

Just a few pictures off the start of reel 2 Alien

Looks good. This is not with a scope lens, just stretched the picture. Will do with scope lens on Wednesday I think, when the wife's at work

Vidar is a happy man now Duel film if you ever watched Incredible Hulk TV series. Dr Banner is driving a red car followed by a tanker truck, when the car over heats he 'hulks' out picks up a telegraph pole and smacks the truck which goes over a cliff.

I still love the smell of film in the morning

I just received a super 8 200' silent/subtitled reel of "Godzilla vs. the Thing" that my sister found for me at a tag sale last year. The lady running the sale let her have it for $5.00. I just need to clean it, wind it tighter on the reel and repair the corners of the box lid. I'm looking forward to seeing it!

Last Saturday I picked up another standard 8 machine. It's a Bell & Howell 254 RS. THIS time, I found a projector within 3 or 4 miles of my home! After a little cleaning, I ran a film through it with no trouble. I also recently received 2 standard 8 silent 200' Little Rascals reels ("Spooky Hooky" and "The Chain Gang"). It's been a good week for 8mm!

Just finished about an hour ago doing the latest set of artwork for a recent feature I acquired.
The film came on 1x 1200ft and then 1x 1600ft Taylor Reel., so I had to make an unusual choice of using just one leg for the PJ to screen it while keeping it on this spool to house it in a 1200ft sixed box.

Anyhow here is how it all went...

Well done on getting that film Andrew, stunning pics and what can one say about the box, absolutely first rate, it puts some professional
stuff in a cocked hat. Top marks for the spool arm too, ingenious.

I've only watched it twice so far Hugh, hopefully when I'm off again, I will be able to take a few more, shall we say, meaningful ones of this film ha ha.

It's not a film I thought I would find if I'm honest, but I'm very happy to now put it alongside the other DH and would love to find Harder now one day, as well as my illusive Robocop!

The use of the front LP arm was just simply because of storage on a 5x 600ft feature.
Too much for one 2400ft reel, but not enough for two like Dolly.
I'd much rather the print was on a different type of reel to be honest, but this seemed the best solution all round just for this one.

It's still a better solution than those gawd awful Tony Churcher fellas!(spools)
They are a Chinese puzzle just getting the end of film back on reel!

I'm lazy now with the art compared to a few years back. I just work to the templates of all the others I've made and use different pics. It's quick and easy now though because all the sizing work has been done years ago. Just a case of swapping txt, popping in some new pics, and alternating the border colours and shading preferences nowadays, to give them all some individuality.
