CS140 is a Dual Motor Speed Control I/C
This is the main component of both Motors régulation in B708 Machines : . Without this component , your machine do not works anymore. (None of the motors will work)
- There is no equivalent or interchangeable component for this.
- This component was designed 40 years ago; at least; by "Cherry Semiconductor" and is no more availaible
- Observed price is around 40 Euros now, and constantly increasing
- Very , Very few retailers have a stock and make price they decide

Is this I/C can be producted again ?
Yes , I assume it should . But to get a reasonnable price (Around 7 Euros a unit) , hundreds of it should have to be ordered in one order. This is something very difficult to manage.
For the time , CS140 stock is probably correct , however as my regulation card is delivered without CS140 installed , I suggest B708 Owners to supply CS140 from their side depending on the number of machine they own.
Unfortunateley, there is no alternative solution (.....for the time !!)
If your machine is properly running , CS140 can also be picked up to be reinstall in the new board.
The very best way to remove (in an easy, fast and safe way) this kind of component is to use a Suction Desoldering Gun Unit.
